Writing I do
for other people
Like all animals in god's terrible kingdom, I have had to commit many horrific and violent acts to stay alive, like copywriting for Verizon, First Hawaiian Bank, Piedmont Health, and also a bunch of start up guys.
What I do
Brand Voice & Messaging
Whatever this means to you, I'll do it.
Website Copy
I can write copy for your website or landing page.
CRM Campaigns
This is what I've been doing most recently. SMS, Email, etc etc.
General Ad Copy
Social, search, out of home, side of a bus, I can write it all probably.
Editorial & Content
Blog posts, articles, and thought leadership for start up guys is what I used to do a lot of. I can still do it too.
Naming & Taglines
I named a new color once. God told me to name a new color and I did.
AI Work
Okay, so even though I don't like it (see my substack) this is where the industry seems to be going. I have been part of a company (Publicis) that has been at the forefront of AI in advertising. I know how to prompt to get usable copy, create agents that can help cut down on production, and also work with Art Director partners to utilize AI tools to create great stuff. So yes. I can do AI stuff. In fact, some may say this entire website was built via vibe code.
Selected work
Verizon
Campaign Landing PagesI mostly wrote CRM communications, which can easily be boring, except every art director I worked with was insanely talented and creative so we always did cool animations and content and stuff like that, which I helped to ideate and write (obvi). Click to get a highlight reel of the work.
Mostly good stuff! Clients were always happy with our output, we helped lift a ton of their metrics, and it was overall a great job.
First Hawaiian Bank
Brand Messaging RefreshPosters, fliers, etc. All that nitty gritty shit that no one really thinks too hard about when they see it but someone has to write it and I wrote it.
Honestly? Nothing. I mean, again, this is below the line writing that goes under appreciated but someone has to do it. Also I'm including because I really want to work for an internal creative team at a bank.
Piedmont Health
Patient-Facing CopyPiedmont needed to hire a ton of new people, so we created a video and some social assets to help support that effort.
They hired a bunch of new people. In fact, the video worked so well that they hired the entire WORLD to work there! Just kidding but it did work well and the clients were happy.
Social media work
Verizon
These social media posts ran as acquisition efforts for Verizon's Digital Ready program and helped grow sign ups for the program by over 1,000%. Yes. You read that correctly.
Third Act
These are ideas I came up with to help bridge the gap between theatre audiences and nft/crypto bros. Sorry for the poor image quality on the definitions example.

Video work
Third Act Intro Video
Remember NFTs? I do, cause I worked as a copywriter for an NFT company. I wrote this video and my friend Jo Gennett directed it.
Verizon Spotlight a Rep
I helped to write and produce this video for Verizon Business that took real reps and interviewed them so businesses could see the kinds of folks they'd be working with if they switched to Fios.
Fanduel Spec Work
I wrote and produced this spec commercial with my friend, Jo Gennett. I also make a cameo and perhaps even steal the show maybe?
Ghostwriting
CRMOne
Project TypeMy agency wanted to turn everyone who worked there into LinkedIn influencers and I was tasked with writing the thought leadership articles.
The LinkedIn did grow under the stewardship of myself and a bunch of other people too.
Third Act
Project TypeI was the sole writer for a theatre NFT company. I knew nothing about crypto or NFTs but I wrote all their content which frankly shows how smart I am and how quickly I can learn and repackage info for an audience.
To be honest with you, nothing. NFTs and crypto sort of went away but it was cool while it lasted.
Quantified Commerce
Project TypeI worked for an insane start up guy who I ghostwrote articles for. They ended up published in Business Insider India. By the way, if I end up working for you, I won't turn around and call you an insane start up guy as long as you aren't one.
Everyone who worked here was fired in spectacular fashion, except for ya boy (me) who saw the writing on the wall and found a job on Craigslist as a broker for Chinese metalworks that I had till the pandemic happened.
Alright email me then
